FSSAI registration is a food safety certification required for all food businesses in India. It ensures compliance with hygiene and quality standards.
All food manufacturers, traders, restaurants, food processors, and online food sellers must have an FSSAI license.
Basic Registration – For small businesses with a turnover below ₹12 lakh.
State License – For medium-sized businesses with a turnover between ₹12 lakh and ₹20 crore.
Central License – For large businesses with a turnover above ₹20 crore or operating in multiple states.
FSSAI licenses are valid for 1 to 5 years and must be renewed before expiry.
Running a food business without an FSSAI license can lead to penalties, fines, or even closure of business.
